Veterans Day 2016

We enjoyed honoring our Willows of Arbor Lakes tenants for Veteran’s day.  We looked at photos of the tenants in their uniforms, as well as other photos taken from their time in service.  We read the history of Veteran’s Day and a few poems as well as sang many patriotic songs, including the songs honoring each branch of the military.

Cookie Baking

Several tenants worked hard the past few days making homemade pumpkin cut-out cookies for residents and guests who came to the Willows on Halloween.  The tenants made their own dough, cut-out, baked, frosted and sprinkled the cookies.  They were a delicious hit!

Halloween 2016

We had a “spooktacular” day on Halloween.  Three year-old’s from a nearby daycare came in the morning and trick-or-treated at the resident’s doors.

In the afternoon the residents put on some costumes and got together for a Halloween party.

October Birthdays

We recently celebrated the birthdays of Grace, Del and Reva.  Their families were able to join us for the parties, and enjoyed homemade cupcakes and music while celebrating these much-loved residents!
