Birthdays, Music, and Dogs at Willows of Arbor Lakes

We happily welcomed musicians Bobby & Christine back to the Willows this past Friday. They do a great job of engaging the residents and the residents love being able to sing and play along with them!

With the help of Nigel Egg on guitar, we had fun celebrating January birthdays at the Willows. Happy birthday to Ruth, Jim, and Sue!

We continue to be thankful for Solomon and Ladybug, the therapy dogs that visit the Willows. Check out photos from their latest visits.

One Busy November

November 20th, 2018

We’ve been having an enjoyable November at the Willows of Arbor Lakes. We loved listening to Vinnie Rose sing and play the guitar. Randy Rolloff helped us celebrate the birthdays of Mae, Joan J., Mary K., and Rita N. We honored our resident veterans with patriotic readings, songs, and a certificate. To top it all off, the kids from the Maple Grove Homeschool Group helped us make a fun turkey craft. Check out our pictures below from all these fun events!

October Birthdays and Fun Activities

The residents had fun painting pumpkins and decorating cookies to get ready for the week of Halloween!

We celebrated October birthdays on Friday with entertainment by Bill Cagley. Happy birthday to Kent, Gingie, and Del!

The past few weeks have been fun! We had a birthday party, special visits, and great music!

We were happy to celebrate Beverly’s 80th birthday on Friday with music by Jenni Thyng. Happy Birthday, Bev!

SWLC

The campers from Small World Learning Center visited the Willows last Friday to read to our residents. The residents were impressed with how well the kids could read, but were happy to help sound out some words as well. The campers will be back a few more times this summer to share more stories, and we are looking forward to their next visit!

Amy & Adams

Amy & Adams recently performed a great show for us. The residents loved it and thought the music was refreshing.

Volunteers

Our volunteers brought the outdoors inside with their last visit. The kids rode their scooters and bikes, blew bubbles, and played noodle ball. Most importantly, they brought so many smiles to the residents’ faces!

Caroling

A few residents continued to spread holiday cheer throughout the Willows of Arbor Lakes by caroling to staff members and other residents.

Christmas Music

One of our favorite ways to celebrate Christmas is with music.
This week we enjoyed listening to carolers from Living Word Church and beautiful violin music from our resident Geri’s granddaughter.

Music in March

March 15th, 2017

We enjoyed a few “musical treats” this month. Women from Living Word Church came and sang hymns for us on Tuesday, March 14th, and Ross McLeod provided entertainment on March 10th.

Randy Rolloff Entertainment

Randy Rolloff put on quite a show at the Willows last week! Randy’s music had both tenants and staff dancing and singing along.

Crooner Dean

Crooner Dean stopped by the Willows of Arbor Lakes on Friday to entertain our tenants. He had us singing, dancing and tapping our toes!

On Monday, June 13th, We were entertained by Accordionist Mark Stillman stopped by Willows of Arbor Lakes on Monday, June 13 for some great entertainment. Mark had everyone tapping their toes, clapping their hands and even a little dancing!
